We Tried Trader Joe’s Vegan Cookies and Creme Bon Bons

I like Trader Joe’s Vegan Cookies and Creme Bon Bons. A lot. Even more than the similar non-dairy mint ones they had around the holidays. By the time I got around to trying the mint version, the ice cream was kind of icy and the mint was just ok. Could be I waited too long to enjoy them.

So with this cookies and creme version, I didn’t waste any time. Though there’s a chocolate cookie down on the bottom of the bon bon, these really come across as a vanilla bon bon. You don’t notice the cookie all that much when you bite into it.

The ice cream has a nice, creamy texture. But I almost wish you could taste the coconut more, but then, I love coconut and chocolate together.

The crew member at my store was right. These are good. Will they replace Hold the Cones as my favorite TJ’s ice cream product? Well, no. But I’ll definitely be buying them again, even though they have a lot of packaging going on. The plastic tray is wrapped in a plastic covering inside the box. It’s recyclable, but still!
