I rolled into Trader Joe’s today hoping they’d have the Heart Macarons, but no dice. Instead, I got a bag of Trader Joe’s Peanut Butter Cocoa Marshmallows and some chocolate-dipped Bamba (review to come). Both are great fast snacks for the upcoming big game between the Bengals and the Rams.
If you need a count, there were 16 marshmallows in the bag. And while they’re supposedly cocoa flavored, the peanut butter pretty much overpowers everything. But no complaint from me. If it’s peanut butter and chocolate, I’m pretty much in. The marshmallows are also less sweet than standard jet-puffed ones, which is nice. I just kinda wish they had a cookie bottom. If you’ve got a can of those Danish butter cookies around still from the holidays, take a bite of each.
As desserts go, you could do worse on the nutrition facts. Three pieces is plenty for a serving, 130 calories, 5 grams of fat. Would I buy Trader Joe’s Peanut Butter Cocoa Marshmallows again? Yes. Will I be tossing them into hot cocoa or a mug of hot milk? TBD.
