We Tried Trader Joe’s Trail Mix Crackers

If you’re making charcuterie and cheese boards (are people still doing that?), you need to mix up your crackers game. Now, Trader Joe’s has plenty of good options, but what about great options? I will put it to you that Trader Joe’s Trail Mix Crackers fall into the, “Dang, these are freakin’ tasty” category.

Dark blue-green bag of Trader Joe's Trail Mix crackers with three crackers arranged along the right side of the bag.

So, when I think of “trail mix,” I think peanuts, coconut, raisins, but these have a little more emphasis on the sesame seeds. And btw, don’t get too hung up on the fact that mung beans are the first thing mentioned on the front of the bag. They’re just a legume. In the actual ingredient list, the first ingredient is “Cheese Cracker Blend” with wheat flour and some other stuff. So I thought, oh no, are these like Cheese-Its with some seedy business on it?

Nope! I think the cheese powder is actually kind of stealth. The texture on these is more like a slightly thicker, buttery Wheat Thin, if that makes sense. They’re a little bit sweet, plus they have raisins on board, so you can easily snarf down the bag just on their own. But they’d also be great with a sharp cheese, say cheddar or even blue. Or even a schmear of cream cheese.

Trader Joe’s Trail Mix Crackers are a win for sure.
