Trader Joe’s has been on a great run with its potato chips in the last year. I still can’t shut up about the Patio Potato Chips that had four flavors in one bag from last summer. They followed it up with Peruvian Potato Chips, French Fingerling potato chips, Scalloped Potato Chips, and now there are Trader Joe’s Sweet Potato Chips.
What I love about these chips is that they actually taste like sweet potato and they’re not too salty. When I did a quick review on @wetriedtraderjoes on Instagram, I wrote that there wasn’t much to say. But I take it back.
I demolished the whole bag, no problem. They’ve got a nice crunch, they’re not greasy at all. And I have to tell you, they’re a LOT tastier than the Terra brand Sweet Potato Chips. And they remind me how much I would LOVE Trader Joe’s to do a mixed bag of sweet potato and taro chips.
Trader Joe’s Sweet Potato Chips are product of Peru, just like my second favorite, the Peruvian Potato Chips. And while our summer activities might look a whole lot different than in years past, I’d grab a couple of bags now before they disappear for good. Would definitely buy again (and again). We’ll call it 8/10.
If you aren’t already following my Trader Joe’s reviews over on Instagram @wetriedtraderjoes, give us a follow. I’m doing some vids and reviews over there that don’t make it to the blog. Thanks!
