We Tried Trader Joe’s Green Goddess Dip

I’m at Trader Joe’s two or three times a week as part of my regular grocery shopping, and it’s impossible to keep up with all the new stuff that’s hitting shelves right now. Not just the holiday treats, (yes, the Hot Cocoa Snowman is in), but also the regular dips and appetizers and frozen items. The new-new this week is the Trader Joe’s Green Goddess Dip ($3.99).

I swear I’ve always thought there was avocado in Green Goddess dressing, and that’s the case with Trader Joe’s dip. But, as it turns out, it’s typically a ton of herbs giving it a green hue. You can, of course, add avocado to it.

For me, Trader Joe’s version ends up being like a garlicky Ranch dip with avocado added to it. If you like all of those things, you’ll probably like this dip. But when I say garlicky, I mean it. Make sure everyone’s enjoying it so you’re all on the same garlic level. It’s tasty with carrot sticks and we dipped some Dark Russet Kettle Cooked Chips in there, too.

I’d have no problem putting this one out with a selection of dips for a football game, for a party, for New Year’s Eve.

Would I buy it again? Yes.
