Remember those awesome pumpkin ginger mini scones Trader Joe’s had a couple years back? Well, Trader Joe’s new Mini Blueberry Scones sure look like they’re from the same producer. And that’s good news for all of us. Well, all of us who like blueberries, too, I guess.
Because these are delicious. I didn’t even bother with more butter or jam because they’re sweet enough for me, as is.

Just as with the pumpkin ginger, you just fire up the oven to 375F, let these sit for 5 minutes while it’s coming up to temp and toss them in the oven for 14-16 minutes. The box advises you can brush them with milk or cream, but all I had was 1% and it didn’t make much difference to the browning. And in fact, I let them go an extra 2 minutes, which means the bottoms were nice and brown, but the tops, were less brown than the picture on the box. Anyway, I wouldn’t worry about it.

I’m glad these actually have butter as scones should, and the ingredient list is otherwise pretty straight forward. And if you toss out the box, I added the baking instructions in the box shot collage below!
Great for a quick breakfast, or afternoon tea. I hope these do well enough that TJ’s brings back the pumpkin ginger as we get into the fall.
