Bridgerton Season 3, Part 1 Premieres May 16
Bridgerton x Williams Sonoma is one of my fave collabs for Bridgerton’s Polin Season. From sparkling beverages to petit fours, picnic baskets and kitchen linens, it’s the perfect thing for a season 3 celebration. But with prices clocking in at $15-20 for the boxed mixes and $21.95 for the sparkling beverages, we had to look at doing Bridgerton on a budget. If your tastes are ton but your finances aren’t, Trader Joe’s and World Market have some great options for your season 3 soiree.
BRIDGERTON: Williams Sonoma’s Bridgerton collection includes three beverage mixes: Blood Orange Blossom Fizz, Honey Lemon Tonic and Elderflower Flavored Lemonade.
BUDGET: World Market’s got you covered on Elderflower Lemonade (plain, rose or yuzu, $6.99). Trader Joe’s has an Italian blood orange soda ($3.49). Trader Joe’s also carries Lemon Elderflower soda in a 4-pk of cans, if you don’t need the pretty bottles.
BRIDGERTON: Williams Sonoma’s shortbread and quick bread mixes include Strawberry Scones ($18.95), Orange Cardamom Shortbread ($18.95), and Vanilla Earl Grey Quick Bread ($18.95).
BUDGET: World Market carries Sticky Fingers Strawberry Scone mix ($6.95). It also comes in several other flavors including raspberry, cherry, lemon poppyseed, and blueberry. And there are gluten-free mixes as well.
BRIDGERTON: Williams Sonoma’s Orange Cardamom shortbread mix sounded too good to pass up, along with the passion fruit curd. Passion fruit is already pricey, so curd for $16.95 was worth it to me. But if you’re unsure about the passion fruit, lemon is the classic anyway.
BUDGET: Trader Joe’s and World Market both carry lemon curd, and Home Goods is another good option. This one was $5.99. Check the ingredient list, if it includes palm oil, pass.
BRIDGERTON: Williams Sonoma is featuring an 8-day tea countdown calendar ($39.99) that includes shortbread and peach jam. (It’s unclear who the teamaker is).
BUDGET: The flavors are different, but the alternative is the Bridgerton x The Republic of Tea 24-tea bag cube at World Market ($19.99). Flavors are: Honey Breakfast, Blood Orange Mimosa, Vanilla Fruit, Spiced Chai, Mint Chocolate Macaron, and Caramel Vanilla Macaron.
BRIDGERTON: Williams Sonoma has a set of 30 floral petit fours ($59.95). But if your party is a bit smaller and not so posh, you can go:
BUDGET: Trader Joe’s raspberry mousse cakes and mini chocolate mousse cakes fit the bill. I asked today (4/22/24) if they’d be around through Mother’s Day (just days before the season 3 premiere). It was possible, but not 100% certain. So maybe grab them now and throw them in the freezer.
OTHER BUDGET OPTIONS: If you’re looking to make a lemon drizzle cake, Trader Joe’s Meyer Lemon Cake Mix $3.49 is a good short cut option. Or, you can make this lemon elderflower cake using TJ’s lemon elderflower soda.
Looking for a chocolate truffle tray without a royal price tag? Trader Joe’s cheesecake-inspired truffles ($4.99) feature 4 flavors: Milk & Dark Chocolate with Vanilla Cheesecake filling; Milk & Dark Chocolate with Salted Caramel Cheesecake Filling; and Milk & White Chocolate with Lemon Cheesecake Filling.
Williams Sonoma’s floral linens and tableware weren’t my style or particularly distinctive to Bridgerton (no bees or wisteria, for example). But check your local thrift for tea cups and other tableware if you’re looking to go all out. Mine always seems to have some vintage bone china.
Bridgerton Season 3 premieres on May 16, part 2 will air starting June 13. The TV tie-in cover of Romancing Mister Bridgerton will be available May 7.
