Here’s a look at what’s new at Trader Joe’s this week as spotted in the PNW. Many of the items featured in the latest Fearless Flyer are starting to roll in. Despite many people turning over a new leaf after indulging over the holidays, there are a lot of desserts in this week’s roundup.
I’m excited for this Calamansi and Mango sorbet ($3.79). I’ll definitely be reviewing it this week. I usually try to put TJ’s ice creams and sorbets in the freezer for 24 hours after buying to ensure it’s at its best. Stay tuned.
Everything about these Chocolate Cheesecake Bites ($4.99) is speaking my language. Hopefully they’re small for better portion control. Could be a good option for a Valentine’s / Galentine’s dinner!
Ok, this snickerdoodle box was heavy. Soft and chewy aren’t my jam for snickerdoodles, so I let these stay on the shelf.
If you’re procrastibaking in January, TJ’s Peanut Butter Flavored Baking Chips are on deck. I loved these when I was a kid. They’re not wildly different ingredient-wise than the Reese’s brand. I can see them working in chocolate cookie dough.
Thai Peanut Satay Sauce looks good for well…satay, but also Peanut Noodles with Chicken, or maybe even a dipping sauce for nuggets. You might also be able to thin it as a salad dressing for a Thai chicken salad type thing.
Back again: We reviewed the Strawberries & Cream Gelato last year. I’m keeping my fingers crossed the Dark Chocolate Raspberry Swirl also makes it back before Valentine’s. We’ll see.
French Roast coffee in new packaging. Not sure how it compares to the French roast that used to come in a can.
