It’s can’t stop-won’t stop in the Trader Joe’s frozen treat/ice cream section this week. One of the new summer products promised on Inside Trader Joe’s landed this week, as did some new canned cocktails for summer entertaining. Let’s get to it.
While there are only 45 calories per bar in these Strawberry Lemonade Ice Bars, we gotta lotta gums going on here in the ingredient list. I know they’re usually for texture and so that popsicles don’t freeze hard as a rock, but…
Chocolate and Vanilla Bean Swirl Gelato. Well, I gotta say the Golden Caramel Swirl Ice Cream that has chocolate and vanilla already has my heart. I don’t always finish Trader Joe’s ice creams, but I’m already on my second pint. For me, I just don’t know if this could be as good. The chocolate looks light compared to the Golden Caramel Swirl and compared to non-grocery store gelato I’ve had in real life, so…I’m not in a rush on this one.
Trader Joe’s Lactose Free Cream Cheese is new in-store, if not new all together. You can see it’s separate to the Vegan Cream Cheese that’s next to it on the shelf.
If your Trader Joe’s carries hard alcohol (in addition to beer and wine), you’ve got two new canned cocktail options. A Vodka Mule and a Lime Margarita. Two cocktails per 12 oz. can.
It looks like these were in some stores last week, but only one store in my area carries booze, so this one’s new this week for me.
Finally, if you missed out on the pink insulated bag, be on the lookout for this teal / turquoise option. If not for Barbiecore taking over the world, this probably would have been the one I would have gone for.
