We Tried Trader Joe’s Non-Dairy Oat Milk Fudgesicles

Trader Joe’s is killing it on the vegan products lately. But I’ve especially been liking their ice cream-type products. I mean, the Cold Brew and Boba non-dairy dessert, the Oat Milk Strawberry Ice Cream, love ’em! And now TJ’s has a non-dairy Oat Milk Fudgesicle in its freezer section. ( It’s got a longer, more convoluted name, I’m guessing because Popsicle has “Fudgesicle” as a registered term).

They come four to a box and they’re slightly smaller than a standard fudgesicle. It’s got about the same creaminess (not a lot) as the standard one, too. And unlike most oat milk products, you don’t get even a hint of a oaty-ness in this one at all! (Yay!)

But where Trader Joe’s Oat Milk Fudgesicles fall down is on their chocolate. For me, it’s more just sweet than really chocolatey, so I’d dispute the “chocolate fudge” in the name. Fudgey they are not. I wish they had gone with semi-sweet or dark chocolate. If they had, they’d be perfect.

But as is, they’re just ok for me. Sigh.
