We Tried Trader Joe’s Cheesecake in a Bite

Trader Joe’s annual flood of holiday goodies is really getting rolling this week. With advent calendars, Gluten Free Peppermint Joe-Joes, Stroopwaffles and more filling the shelves, I opted to bring home the Trader Joe’s Cheesecake in a Bite. Each box features maple vanilla, gingerbread and peppermint (12 pieces for $5.99).

The great thing about these is you just let them thaw for a few minutes on the counter, no baking of any kind required. Undoubtedly that’s going to make them popular for office parties and other last minute holiday get togethers.

Among the three flavors, I liked the peppermint the best. The gingerbread came in second and I wouldn’t even bother with the maple vanilla. It tasted pretty artificial to me. Overall, Trader Joe’s Cheesecake in a Bite is/are fine. Would I buy it again? Ehhhhh, probably not.

That’s because when it comes to mini desserts from Trader Joe’s, I’m still waiting for the Peppermint Hold the Cone ice creams to come in. That’s the Trader Joe’s holiday dessert I look forward to most each year. Even more than the Jingle Jangle, the Joe-Joe’s, and the Peppermint Bark.

While we wait, take a look at what was on TJ’s holiday shelves last year.
