It’s no secret that I am a big fan of passion fruit (aka lilikoi), so I am loving Trader Joe’s being in their Passion Fruit era. From the Passion Fruit Rounds to the Passion Fruit Spindrift to Passion Fruit Meringue Tartlettes, I am all about it. Now, Trader Joe’s has added a concentrated punch of passion fruit with its new Passion Fruit Sorbet.

It tastes like vacation. But maybe that’s because when I typically have passion fruit, I’m in Hawaii. And knowing how much pulp you get out of most passion fruit, the $4.99 price tag is a bargain. The sorbet is super tart, despite packing a surprising 39g of sugar per serving. You might want to grab Trader Joe’s new Hard Top Chocolate Shell (aka TJ’s Magic Shell) to cut the tartness.
Is it a buy again? It’s gonna take me a little while to get through it (just because I’m watching my sugar intake), but yeah, I’d definitely buy it again. That said, the passion fruit meringue tartlettes remain a fave.
