At long last, Trader Joe’s has graced us with Ketchup Flavored Lattice Potato Chips. Long a staple in Canada’s snack domain, Americans had to travel to get their hands on Ketchup Chips, with a rare exception here and there. Herr’s out of Pennsylvania carries ridged /rippled ketchup chips. Doritos even tried to pass off Ketchup Flavored Doritos in the US. But it just wasn’t the same.
Over the years, Trader Joe’s has taken a few whacks at bringing ketchup flavored snacks to shelves. Back in 2021 they made Ketchup Flavored Spud Crunchies, essentially ketchup powder dusted shoestring potatoes. Ketchup Flavored Sprinkle followed in 2023. And of course, they gave us a few Ketchup flavored chips in their summer seasonal Patio Potato Chips.

But now, we get the whole bag. Interestingly, they are NOT marked Product of Canada. I woulda thought maybe they’d go with the same producer as their Patio Potato Chips. But either way, I gotta tell ya, they’re good. They’ve got a bright tomato ketchup flavor dusted on a robust, crunchy, waffle cut (or lattice) chip. They’re not overly sweet and I will be mowing this bag down post haste.
Trader Joe’s Ketchup Chips are a definite, no question buy again. Two thumbs up, 5 stars, more please, yes.
