Strawberry and Watermelon Are Involved
First there was Trader Joe’s Mango Madness, then the Coffee Cavalcade. Now, it looks like 2020 might be a Berry Bonanza or a Watermelon Wing-ding. This week, Trader Joe’s Sparkling Strawberry Juice hit shelves. The company also teased new berry and watermelon skincare products coming soon.

On the latest episode of Inside Trader Joe’s, the company revealed we can look forward to:
Strawberry Sugar Body Scrub – Strawberry seeds and sugar provide the exfoliant.
Watermelon Face Spray – Features both watermelon fruit extract, watermelon juice and watermelon seed oil, along with squalane and hyaluronic acid. Expected in stores by June.
Watermelon Overnight Face Mask – Described as a “super concentrated version of [TJ’s] gel moisturizer with watermelon extract and watermelon seed oil.
Summer Scented Candle Trio in strawberry basil, watermelon mint and pineapple cilantro.

TJ’s also announced their sunscreens will no longer include oxybenzone, an ingredient that negatively impacts coral and the ocean biome.
The episode also included a remembrance of Trader Joe’s Founder Joe Coloumbe, who died over the weekend at age 89.

P.S. I like Trader Joe’s Sparkling Strawberry Juice. It’s 80% juice, and if you loved strawberry soda as a kid, this is a great replacement. It’s as good as last summer’s Sparkling Watermelon Juice.
