When you\u2019re trying to pack food experiences into a compressed amount of time,\u00a0 you\u2019re never hungry for 3 meals, let alone afternoon snacks.\u00a0 But I persevered.\u00a0 California delivered a gorgeous week of sunshine, practically a heatwave for early October. Ahhh, vitamin D.\u00a0\u00a0 And not only that, this past weekend happened to coincide with Fleet Week, the America\u2019s Cup,\u00a0 a post-season Giants game, and a Niners game. \u00a0But let&#8217;s start with an appetizer, shall we?\u00a0The Ferry Building ended up being a home away from home of sorts, since it was so close to the hotel.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/?attachment_id=9892\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-9892\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload_inited aligncenter size-full wp-image-9892\" title=\"sf_bluebottlecup\" src=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/sf_bluebottlecup.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"536\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/sf_bluebottlecup.jpg 400w, https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/sf_bluebottlecup-223x300.jpg 223w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Good thing, it was easy to get my Blue Bottle fix.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/?attachment_id=9893\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-9893\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload_inited aligncenter size-full wp-image-9893\" title=\"sf_gotts sign ferry bldg\" src=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/sf_gotts-sign-ferry-bldg.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"536\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/sf_gotts-sign-ferry-bldg.jpg 400w, https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/sf_gotts-sign-ferry-bldg-223x300.jpg 223w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Gott&#8217;s now has a froyo stand on the side facing into the Ferry Building. Vanilla was good, the original tart was a little icy. Pinkberry at the airport on the way home was still a winner. <em>And<\/em> they had chocolate hazelnut. Enough said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/?attachment_id=9894\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-9894\"><img src=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/plugins\/trx_addons\/components\/lazy-load\/images\/placeholder.png\" data-trx-lazyload-height style=\"height: 0; padding-top: 100%;\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9894\" title=\"sf_fleet week ferry bldg\" data-trx-lazyload-src=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/sf_fleet-week-ferry-bldg.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\"   \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">If there&#8217;s one thing you go to the Ferry Building for, it&#8217;s the Saturday farmers market. \u00a0I haven&#8217;t been back to the\u00a0Saturday \u00a0Santa Monica market in years, but I&#8217;m beginning to think the Ferry Building&#8217;s Saturday market is the gold standard. These ladies also had chiles galore, and I brought home a jar of their chile jam.
