A few weeks ago, we squeezed in one last little summer getaway for us and the dogs and drove down to Cannon Beach. Here&#8217;s a quick look at a few of the highlights.<\/p>\n<p>The thing to know is in the off-season, some restaurants\/bakeries are closed a couple of days mid-week and don&#8217;t include hours on their Web sites. So call ahead if you&#8217;re planning a trip this fall\/winter.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/2011\/09\/22\/photo-roundup-good-eats-in-cannon-beach-or\/sleepy-monk-cannon-beach\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4461\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload_inited aligncenter wp-image-4461 size-full\" title=\"sleepy monk cannon beach\" src=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/sleepy-monk-cannon-beach.jpg\" alt=\"cannon beach\" width=\"360\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/sleepy-monk-cannon-beach.jpg 360w, https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/sleepy-monk-cannon-beach-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 360px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sleepymonkcoffee.com\/SMinterfaceembeded.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sleepy Monk<\/a>: Locally roasted coffee served by some of the friendliest people I&#8217;ve ever met. Generous toppings, pretty good crust, and it was even tasty cold the next day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/2011\/09\/22\/photo-roundup-good-eats-in-cannon-beach-or\/guinness-ice-cream-sandwich-irish-table-cannon-beach\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4464\"><img src=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/plugins\/trx_addons\/components\/lazy-load\/images\/placeholder.png\" data-trx-lazyload-height style=\"height: 0; padding-top: 100%;\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4464 size-full\" title=\"guinness ice cream sandwich irish table cannon beach\" data-trx-lazyload-src=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/guinness-ice-cream-sandwich-irish-table-cannon-beach.jpg\" alt=\"cannon beach\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\"   \/><\/a><br \/>\nIrish Table: Hands down our best meal in Cannon Beach. It was our best meal, but not my best photos. Low-light conditions strike again! This Guinness Ice cream sandwich followed the beet and peach salads (separately), a rich chicken pasty and a nice bottle of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.owenroe.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Owen Roe<\/a> Merriman Pinot Noir.
