When things are going crazy in the real world, you know what you need from romance? Real people, dealing with grown folks problems and living their lives. You need LOW-ANGST. You need Losing Sight by Tati Richardson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tanika “Nikki” Ryan is a successful sports reporter. Over 40, she’s built a career and her credibility on her expertise and ability to develop camaraderie with athletes and co-workers alike. But lately she’s been flubbing her teleprompter reads and her bosses are bringing in younger, less experienced talent and sidelining her with second- and third-tier sports. Eventually she goes to see optometrist Dr. Gideon Miles for help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If, like me, you loved Tati Richardson’s debut, The Build Up, or Farrah Rochon’s The Boyfriend Project series, you’re gonna wanna check out Losing Sight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a bit of a slow burn. Tanika’s busy job includes shadowing F1 driver Colin Bello for a story – and it takes her out of Atlanta pretty often (don’t worry, we get to go along). For his part, Gideon’s dealing with lingering grief over the death of his wife, but he’s trying (he’s really trying!) to get out there again. If you’ve watched Alex Cross on Prime, it’s like that. But this is a romance, so love finds a way!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
