There&#8217;s the cheap and cheerful Milk Chocolate Advent, this year $1.29, that&#8217;s already in some stores. There&#8217;s the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/2022\/11\/07\/trader-joes-12-days-of-beauty-advent-calendar-2022-edition\/\">12 Days of Beauty<\/a> for the skin care fans. Last year there was a <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/trader-joes-2022-advent-calendars\/\">12 Days of Scented Candles and the Advent of the Cocktail Hour <\/a>with boozy chocolates. But I like a little variety and customization in my advent calendars, so this year, I thought I might make my own, a DIY Trader Joe&#8217;s Advent Calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"740\" height=\"987\" src=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/DIY-Advent-Calendar-Featured-Img.png\" alt=\"White Canvas advent calendar hanging on a door wit the text &quot;DIY Trader Joe's Advent Calendar.&quot;\" class=\"lazyload_inited wp-image-23759\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/DIY-Advent-Calendar-Featured-Img.png 740w, https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/DIY-Advent-Calendar-Featured-Img-225x300.png 225w, https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/DIY-Advent-Calendar-Featured-Img-450x600.png 450w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 740px) 100vw, 740px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:clamp(14px, 0.875rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.412), 18px);\">I&#8217;ve been meaning to get one that&#8217;s reusable with slightly bigger pockets, so I got <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3QlvS1l\">this canvas one on Amazon.<\/a> It also comes in <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3tRZKuL\">black on the top and bottom<\/a>.  What&#8217;s nice is, it goes 1-24, but you can also safety pin it and just do 12 days, if you want. The cookies in day 1 are a snug fit, so it&#8217;s not quite big enough for a mass market paperback. If you&#8217;re crafty, you can grab some fabric markers and add more holiday flare on the pockets and the top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to make it more of an art project for your littles, you could also make one with flat pockets using those library card sleeves. <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/trader-joes-2022-advent-calendars\/\">These are on sale<\/a>, though not strictly holiday colors. Or there&#8217;s always <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3tZOYSW\">white\/manila<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:clamp(14px, 0.875rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.412), 18px);\">TJ&#8217;s winter holiday items are just around the corner. According to my 2022 camera roll, November 2 was the beginning, with things getting serious around November 10 (in the PNW). So it&#8217;s a good time to think about what you might want to include and get the items as they come in.  You can go simpler\/lower cost on the individual items (stretch that mini bag of peanut butter cups or the coins, for example) and finish big (Jingle Jangle or a gift card, maybe?). If items are too big to fit into your calendar&#8217;s pockets\/drawers, you can always print out a picture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:clamp(14px, 0.875rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.412), 18px);\">Here are some ideas for items that are in-store now.
