So I don&#8217;t have anything to compare Trader Joe&#8217;s Tirokafteri to, but I can tell you, TJ&#8217;s version wasn&#8217;t spicy (for me). Feta is just one of the cheeses in the mix, so it didn&#8217;t have the punch I thought it might.  So after cracking open the package and giving the spread a stir, I topped it with extra feta cheese, a little dried oregano (fresh would have been better), and a drizzle of olive oil. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"740\" height=\"987\" src=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Trader-Joes-Tirokafteri-package.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"lazyload_inited wp-image-22961\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Trader-Joes-Tirokafteri-package.jpg 740w, https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Trader-Joes-Tirokafteri-package-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Trader-Joes-Tirokafteri-package-450x600.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 740px) 100vw, 740px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:clamp(14px, 0.875rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.412), 18px);px\">It&#8217;s a perfectly fine add to a Greek-inspired crudite board, but I wouldn&#8217;t call it amazing. Texture-wise, it&#8217;s definitely more on the spread side than a thick dip consistency. I put together a little lunch platter with what I had around and ended up eating about half. But yes, I ate all the Spanikopita. I grabbed a box for New Year&#8217;s Eve and never ended up making them. Two of them broke open in the air fryer, but the filling mostly stayed inside. <strong>I&#8217;d definitely get the spanikopita again. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"740\" height=\"923\" src=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Trader-Joes-Tirokafteri-plated.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"lazyload_inited wp-image-22959\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Trader-Joes-Tirokafteri-plated.jpg 740w, https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Trader-Joes-Tirokafteri-plated-241x300.jpg 241w, https:\/\/dailywaffle.com\/stage1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Trader-Joes-Tirokafteri-plated-481x600.jpg 481w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 740px) 100vw, 740px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:clamp(14px, 0.875rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.412), 18px);px\">If I&#8217;d had some pita, I&#8217;d use those as dippers, but you could also use it as a spread in a pita sandwich to add a little more flavor to the party. You might even be able to use it as an emergency pasta sauce, but it&#8217;s not gonna be pretty.
