Inside Trader Joe’s Podcast Shakes Up Your Spice Rack with New Product Previews<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Inside Trader Joe\u2019s latest podcast episode<\/a> is all about spices, including everyone\u2019s favorite Everything But the Bagel Seasoning. We\u2019ve seen it in on smoked salmon and in Trader Joe\u2019s recently released Everything But the Bagel Yogurt Dip.<\/a> TJ\u2019s teased that they\u2019re working on a potato chip featuring the popular seasoning, but they’re still trying to get the flavors just right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Knot kidding: All you need is a ball of Trader Joe’s pizza dough, water and a bottle of Everything but the Bagel Sesame seasoning.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

But you know me, I\u2019m always about what\u2019s coming soon. Trader Joe\u2019s is bringing its own blend of furikake to market. It\u2019s a Japanese seaweed and sesame seed mix that we usually eat on rice, or sprinkle on popcorn. It’s also great in Chex Mix to approximate senbei aka rice crackers. It comes in several variations at your local Asian market, my favorite is pictured below. It\u2019ll be interesting to see TJ\u2019s take on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The podcast’s big reveal is the “Everything But the Elote” seasoning<\/strong>, inspired by a crew member in Sammamish, WA (shout out, Eastside!).\u00a0 Eric in Sammamish loved the Organic Elote Corn Dippers and they\u2019re making his flavor dreams come true with a seasoning that includes dehydrated corn, parmesan cheese, chipotle chile, buttermilk flavor, cilantro, and cumin. I’m not sure “Everything But the Elote” will the final name, given that it does have corn. Look for it on shelves early next year.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other new additions coming to the spice department over the next few months:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond Your Basic Seasoning Blend Set<\/strong> – Expected to land during the holidays, this four spice box set will include a \u201cfiery honey mustard.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dukkah<\/strong> – An Egyptian spice blend with toasted nuts and seeds is a returning item. Expect this one in January 2020, according to the podcast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
