Is anyone ever really ready for summer to be over? Labor Day, the unofficial end of summer is nearly here, but the thing is, as long as the weather holds out, why let the party end? Why not take a half day on Friday, 9\/16? Get a ticket for Feast Portland\u2019s Friday Grand Tasting<\/a> and get the weekend started early. Some of the Pacific Northwest\u2019s best wines, ciders and beers will be on offer with tastes from artisans and vendors including Bliss Nut Butters, Guittard, the Oregon Cheese Guild, Red Duck Foods, Talenti gelato, and USA Pears.<\/p>\n

Friday’s Grand Tasting Culinary Stage schedule includes a chef panel with Portland’s Vitaly Paley and Seattle’s Tom Douglas, as well as Chef Naomi Pomeroy in conversation with Bon Appetit’s Adam\u00a0Rapaport. Pomeroy’s book, Taste and Technique,<\/em><\/a> is due out September 13.<\/p>\n
