Yep, Trader Joe’s Spicy Mango Lemonade is as good as you think it is! It’s got a legit spicy kick (with both jalapeño puree and a hit of cayenne), so it’s no joke. And it builds up on you.
The mango puree tastes fresh vs. getting that tinniness that you sometimes get with canned mango juice. If you’ve got cocktails on your summer menu, leaded or zero-proof, you’re gonna wanna grab a bottle.
I had it over ice cut with a little bit of sparkling water (great for anyone going zero-proof this summer), but it would also go great with vodka or tequila. I thought about adding a Tajin rim to the glass, but it’s spicy enough without it.
Other ideas? You could make a delicious granita with it, throw it in your ice cream maker for sorbet, or freeze it into cubes.
I’d love it if this came in a non-spicy version, too.
