I give Trader Joe’s points for actually putting tropical fruit concentrates into its Sparkling Tropical Lemonade. But the truth is, you can smell them more than you can taste them in the beverage. Like, I can smell the guava for sure, I’m iffy on pineapple or passion fruit. But bottom line, if you plug your nose (I actually did this) when you take a drink, it just tastes like sparkling lemonade.
It’s totally fine if you want to have a variety of drinks for a get together, but it’s nothing amazing. I’d put it above Trader Joe’s seasonal Sparkling Pomegranate Punch, but way below my two summer faves — Sparkling Watermelon Juice and Sparkling Strawberry Juice.
Will I buy Trader Joe’s Sparkling Tropical Lemonade again? Nah.
