We Tried Trader Joe’s Teriyaki Mushroom Mini Bao Buns
I was skeptical when I saw that Trader Joe's newest dumpling was teriyaki-flavored. Teriyaki in a bao? I imagined a gloopy super sweet soy-based sauce overwhelming the veg filling. But now that I've tried Trader Joe's Teriyaki Mushroom Mini Bao Buns? I think it's meant to be more of a shorthand toward a sweet,…

We Tried Trader Joe’s Saddle Potato Crisps

A few years ago, Trader Joe’s got itself into a little bit of trouble for creating a cookie similar to Pepperidge Farm Milanos. So when you go grab a can of Trader Joe’s Saddle Potato Crisps ($1.49 per can), make sure you don’t call them Pringles. But taste-wise, they’re basically Pringles.

You know that dried potato flavor that Pringles have? Saddle Chips are spot on. They’re salty enough, but not too. Barbecue Pringles were my jam when I was a kid, now I like regular old chips more. And as we all know, Trader Joe’s hasn’t been slacking in the chip department. There are good ones in stores right now, especially the Patio Potato Chips and Sweet Potato Chips. Fingers crossed that the Peruvian Potato Chips also make a comeback.

Basically, if you like Pringles, Trader Joe’s Saddle Potato Crisps are good. They’re product of Canada, so I’ve been trying to do a little research to figure out who might be producing them. No luck yet. I’ll keep you posted.
