Last Year’s Number One Unseated by a New Fave

Trader Joe’s 11th Annual Customer Choice Awards winners were previewed on its latest Inside Trader Joe’s podcast. Several customer favorites remained in the top 5, including dark chocolate peanut butter cups and Unexpected Cheddar. But perennial favorite Mandarin Orange Chicken was unseated by a new #1 overall.

Drum roll, please. The new #1 overall customer choice is…..

EVERYTHING BUT THE BAGEL SEASONING.

Knot Kidding: All you need is a bag of Trader Joe’s pizza dough, a little water and a bottle of Everything But the Bagel Sesame seasoning blend.

Everything but the Bagel was #2 overall last year, according to the Inside Trader Joe’s podcast. And it was so popular, Trader Joe’s also released it as a yogurt dip in 2019.

BEST SNACK was a surprise (to me) with Plantain Chips taking top honors.

Trader Joe’s new non-dairy oat beverages took BEST BEVERAGE.

And unsurprisingly, Cauliflower Gnocchi won BEST VEGAN/VEGETARIAN item.
