We Tried Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Yellow Mini Sheet Cake
with Chocolate Frosting! I've been on alert for Trader Joe's Yellow Mini Sheet Cake with chocolate frosting after seeing u/aswewaltz posted it in NY on Reddit 8 days ago. We Tried Trader Joe’s Teriyaki Mushroom Mini Bao Buns
I was skeptical when I saw that Trader Joe's newest dumpling was teriyaki-flavored. Teriyaki in a bao? I imagined a gloopy super sweet soy-based sauce overwhelming the veg filling. But now that I've tried Trader Joe's Teriyaki Mushroom Mini Bao Buns? I think it's meant to be more of a shorthand toward a sweet,…

SINLESS by Sarah Tarkoff | Spot Review

Sinless by Sarah Tarkoff

4 of 5 stars

I don’t feel even a bit guilty…

Sinless grabbed me from the first chapter and didn’t let go. I ripped through it in 24 hours. It’s fast-paced, you can tell Sarah Tarkoff writes for TV.

I worried at first it might be headed in the direction of Left Behind. NOT SO.

It’s a novel with food for thought about power, complacency and haves and have-nots (of many kinds).

After a traumatic event, 17 year-old Grace is challenged to reconsider everything she’s accepted at face value. As the daughter of a cleric, she’s been living what looks like the good life in this not-so-distant future dystopia. The pious are kept beautiful, the sinful are progressively disfigured by a deity that metes out punishment on the spot.

The stakes don’t feel as high as in other similar YA novels, but that’s actually good. It gives Grace some room for personal growth and to grapple with her choices.

Add it to your TBR if you liked Divergent.
