We Tried Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Yellow Mini Sheet Cake
with Chocolate Frosting! I've been on alert for Trader Joe's Yellow Mini Sheet Cake with chocolate frosting after seeing u/aswewaltz posted it in NY on Reddit 8 days ago. We Tried Trader Joe’s Teriyaki Mushroom Mini Bao Buns
I was skeptical when I saw that Trader Joe's newest dumpling was teriyaki-flavored. Teriyaki in a bao? I imagined a gloopy super sweet soy-based sauce overwhelming the veg filling. But now that I've tried Trader Joe's Teriyaki Mushroom Mini Bao Buns? I think it's meant to be more of a shorthand toward a sweet,…

Run, Don’t Walk: Trader Joe’s Italian Custard Cream Puffs

If you need a little break from pumpkin desserts, grab yourself a box of Trader Joe’s Italian Custard Cream Puffs. The most important thing you need to know is THEY NEED TO THAW FOR 90 MINUTES. And at my house, they took the full hour and a half. I checked at an hour and the custard in the middle of the cream puff was still on the frozen side.

They come six to a box and it advises that you should consume them within 24 hours after thawing. it won’t be a problem. :D I gotta tell ya, I really really liked these. The vanilla custard has a nice flavor and consistency. The chocolate drop on top is totally decorative, and for me unnecessary except as a pretty garnish. Of course, nothing beats fresh cream puffs or eclairs, but I’ve just never been inspired to make choux pastry and custard at home…so these are just fine.

Since all you have to is thaw them, they’ll make a great no fuss, no muss dessert for holiday get togethers. assuming they stick around that long! The vanilla is great, but I sure wouldn’t mind if TJ’s came out with a chocolate version, too.

Would I buy Trader Joe’s Italian Custard Cream Puffs again? Heck yes. 100 percent yes. Yes.
