Who knew our jack o’lanterns would be so prescient?! The evening started out like the one on the left and ended up like the one on the right. You start out giddy with anticipation (ok, maybe that’s overstating it) — what will be the big costume this year? How many Dora the Explorer’s and Spidermen and princesses will there be this year?
Although we had a decent crowd of trick o’ treaters come knockin’ on our door last year — they *all* failed to materialize this year – kind of like on Ghost Hunters on Sci-fi. But seriously – not even a single trick o’ treater – and we have 3 families with kids who live on our street! Maybe it’s the black light we put in our lantern out front. (Heh!)
So now I’ve got a basketful of candy — at least its Snickers, Reese’s, Crunch Bars and Kit Kat. Ya always hate to be the house known for the cheap candy, or the bag of pennies, or the toothbrushes. At least Extreme Pumpkins brought a little fun to the day.
