Even before their next release hits shelves in September, Christina Lauren unveiled the cover for MY FAVORITE HALF-NIGHT STAND, due out December 4.
Entertainment Weekly snagged the exclusive along with a great Q&A that covers the genesis of the book which follows UC Santa Barbara professor Millie Morris as she and her friends dive into online dating.
Though both Christina and Lauren are long married, they tapped friends and Facebook fans for online dating horror stories. If Millie’s exploits end up being anything like the stories they heard, MY FAVORITE HALF-NIGHT STAND will have us dying of laughter and total mortification at the same time.
Synopsis follows. In the meantime, their next release, JOSH AND HAZEL’S GUIDE TO NOT DATING, debuts September 4. It features a Korean-American hero and a heroine with no filter who have known each other since college. They go on progressively worse and worse double dates until they realize what’s been in front of them the whole time.
Millie Morris has always been one of the guys. A UC Santa Barbara professor, she’s a female-serial-killer expert who’s quick with a deflection joke and terrible at getting personal. And she, just like her four best guy friends and fellow professors, is perma-single.
So when a routine university function turns into a black tie gala, Mille and her circle make a pact that they’ll join an online dating service to find plus-ones for the event.
