DailyWaffle is a Seattle-based blog covering books and bites. We offer food news, recipes, and book reviews. All posts are written and photographed by Michelle Jenkins.
Here’s what you can expect on the Waffle:
BOOKS – Contemporary & Historical Romance, Rom-Coms, Thrillers, and Asian American YA, as well as Cookbooks, Food Culture, and Food-Related Fiction.
I’ve been a book nerd since I was a kid, and my love of books has crossed over with food. I’m an avid collector of cookbooks and consumer of food culture and food-related fiction. Romance, Thrillers, Historical Fiction, and Asian American YA are also on my TBR. As a mixed race Asian American, I’m particularly interested in (and an advocate for) books by and about people of color. I also review books on TikTok and Instagram at @dailywafflebooks. BITES – We Tried Trader Joe’s, New Products, Recipes, Food Discoveries
I’m an avid home cook, but it’s not all fancified. There are Doritos, Oreos and ramen packages in my cupboard alongside the pasta and dried beans. DailyWaffle originated as a food blog and you’ll find recipes that reflect my mixed heritage growing up in California. I’m also a long time Trader Joe’s shopper and it turned into a regular feature called “We Tried Trader Joe’s.” You’ll also periodically find We Tried’s for other products that catch my eye.
