Just Kiss Already, a new audiobook narrated by Philippa Soo and Simu Liu, hit Audible today. Written by Canadian romance author Lily Chu, Liu narrates Dr. Ben Song, a forensic anthropologist by day, cozy mystery author by night. Soo voices Lauren Wei, a former teen star turned filmmaker who’s about to premiere her first film, based on one of his books.
When his negative reaction to an early screening goes viral, the studio capitalizes and pairs the two on press tour to promote the film. And the forced proximity just might make them realize, “they might actually be perfectly imperfect for each other after all.”
Soo (lately of Dr. Odyssey) has been a long time collaborator on Chu’s books, narrating Drop Dead with John Cho; Rich Girl Summer with Steven Pasquale; and The Takedown, The Comeback, and The Stand-In as solo projects.
I started Just Kiss Already on my walk this AM. Stay tuned! As an Audible Original, that’s the only place to get it for now. I’d expect it to hit paperback in 9 months to a year, if it follows the same timeline as Chu’s past books.
