Earlier this year, PBS and Masterpiece announced Miss Scarlet’s seventh season would be its last. But it looks like characters created by Rachael New will have fresh adventures in Miss Scarlet and The Duke: House of Mystery by Victoria Dowd. The book drops June 23 in ebook and audio, narrated by Kate Reading.
House of Mystery is an original story (not a novelization of the show) with fan favorite William Wellington in the picture, along with the likes of Fitzroy, Moses, Rupert Parker, and Ivy. Set during Victorian London’s obsession with Egyptology, Eliza finds herself investigating the death of a woman found in a sarcophagus, but who is decidedly not a mummy.
