I know we’re all focused this week on Monaco, but do not sleep on Ride with Me by Simone Soltani. Out now, the second book in her Lights Out series pairs F1 driver Thomas Maxwell-Brown with baker and entrepreneur extraordinare Stella (Margaux) Baldwin. The two meet up in Vegas at a joint bachelor and bachelorette party ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, not long after Stella’s been left at the altar.

Soltani set a high bar for F1 romance with Cross the Line, the first book in the series. Ride with Me is already eclipsing it for me, 100 some-odd pages in. The chemistry is incendiary and the banter between these two is off the charts from the word go. The competence p-rn is chef’s kiss. Stella is a baker/entrepreneur with multiple retail locations. It puts these two on more even footing than most F1 love interests.
Full review to come, but if you love the “Oops, we woke up married in Vegas” trope, get yourself a copy of Ride With Me.
The audiobook, narrated by Dela Ruth Hini and Joshua Akehurst, drops June 17. Simone is headed across the pond for an event at Waterstones White City and returns to the US for an event with East City Bookshop on June 5.
