I didn’t want to like Trader Joe’s All Mixed Up Ice Cream. I usually don’t want a ton of mix-ins. But what we’ve got here is vanilla ice cream with a peanut butter swirl, chocolate sandwich cookie chunks, candy coated pretzels, rainbow sprinkles and mini peanut butter cups. For me, it’s that peanut butter swirl that makes this one worth picking up.
And if you just look at the top, it doesn’t seem like there’s a lot going on. But don’t be fooled, dig into it. Just look at it! Hello!
Now, are the sprinkles doing much? Not really, other than providing a little bit of color. The little pretzel bits are kind of a weird texture, but I’ll overlook it for that peanut butter swirl. And yeah, with this many mix-ins, you’re gonna have a higher calorie, fat and sugar count. But it’s summer. Treat yo self.
Would I buy Trader Joe’s All Mixed Up Ice Cream again? Even in an ice cream/popsicle field that’s pretty crowded in the TJ’s freezer section, I’m gonna say yeah.
