My local Trader Joe’s has been a little bit slower getting some of the new-new stuff — Cinnamon Rolls in the bakery section, I’m looking at you. So while we wait, let’s talk about Trader Joe’s Cold Foam Creamer and Spaghetti with Meat Sauce that hit shelves this week.
Cold Foam Creamer

Trader Joe’s Cold Foam Creamer just tastes like whipped cream to me?! It’s just a little less stiff than what you might top hot chocolate with (you can see it in the Reel below). Tasted straight out the can, it’s pretty sweet, but it mellows out in coffee. It doesn’t taste artificial at all, which is nice. I used it as a topping, versus putting in enough to use it as creamer. It’s fun, but not something I’d buy on the reg.
Spaghetti with Meat Sauce

Spaghetti with meat sauce is one of the basics that you might say, well, why don’t you just make it? But sometimes you’re on the road, and you’ve got a microwave in your hotel room and not much else. So, voilá, Trader Joe’s Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. The noodles got a little overcooked in the microwave, but the sauce is generous and not too sweet. It’s a nice lunch size portion, though it’s a little high in sodium for me personally. But for $4.49 and in the right circumstances, it’s a solid value.
BONUS! Black Sesame Mochi Ice Cream

My pix of Trader Joe’s Black Sesame Mochi looked pretty terrible, partially because of the light and also because they just look like gray globs. But don’t be put off. I think these have eclipsed Ube as my favorite TJ’s mochi ice cream flavor. The mochi skin on these is waaaaaay softer than the other flavor. They’re so dang good. And cheaper than at my local Asian market. If you like the nuttiness of sesame, grab ’em!
