Things were a little sparse in the new products department for a second there. So you’re getting two week’s worth of What’s New and Returning at Trader Joe’s, as spotted in the Pacific Northwest. Thanksgiving items are just starting to trickle in along with a bunch of new everyday products.
TODAY, one of my local TJ’s restocked on the mini insulated totes and had magenta and teal in the mix along with red and green. So check your store if you missed out!
Now let’s get to the new stuff.
I’m a big fan of the Apple Chip Duo, so my heart sank a little when I saw these Pink Lady Apple Chips with Cinnamon Sugar have 10g added sugar. These are delicious as you’d think they’d be. So if you’re not watching your sugar, have it. I still brought these home, so I’ll probably mix them with the Apple Chip Duo. Gourmet Nut Simple Slices also has a cinnamon only version I pick up at Home Goods.
Trader Joe’s Pizza Ranch Salad Kit features pizza seasoned 4-cheese crisp crumbles, herb flatbread strips, Parmesan Cheese and a pizza seasoned ranch dressing.
The White Queso Dip just landed today, so I haven’t had a chance to try it yet. I’m hopeful, but I know queso lovers are the toughest critics. Costco has had a white queso for awhile, so we’ll see how this one measures up.
Trader Joe’s Uncured Bacon Bits have a pretty straightforward ingredient list. So if you’re not in the mood to make your own, grab a bag to sprinkle on your salads or over baked potatoes!
Trader Joe’s has 3-4 different nut/snack mixes on shelves right now: the Cinnamon Sugar Cashews, the Nuts About Elote Mix, and a Maple Spiced Nut Mix. Add the Nuts About Rosemary Mix to the list.
The box for Trader Joe’s Spicy Farfalle Pasta with Italian Chicken Sausage wasn’t super big, so this might be best for a lunch option.
THANKSGIVING ITEMS:
I’ve only seen the vegan Turkey-less Roast at one location so far in my area. Keep an eye out.
Cornbread Crisps are back! I still have never tried them, but I know a lot of you love them!
If you need your turkey handheld, the Turkey Gobbler Wrap is back. There’s also another turkey wrap with tomato, spinach and Swiss in a Garlic Herb tortilla.
I’m not much of gravy gal, but this turkey gravy in the refrigerated section looks promising. Nice to have another option in addition to the boxed gravy. Seems like it could be good in a turkey pot pie if you don’t want to make a bechamel.
On the dessert front, Pecan Pie ($9.99) is back. The last couple of years it’s gotten mixed reviews, IIRC, but this one looks good, anyway. I think it might be smaller, too.
Other Early Winter Holiday Items:
We’re on the very early end of Winter holiday items coming in. Last year, the first big wave of Christmassy items landed the first week of November. So far, the Hot Chocolate Stirring Spoon is back. (Not sure if this is a replacement for the salted caramel one from last year).
In Health & Beauty, the Red Currant Foaming Hand Soap is also back.
