Things were a little quiet over the July 4 week (there were only a couple of new items, not even enough for a post), but Trader Joe’s is back in full force. Let’s get a look at what’s new (and returning) this week, as spotted in the Pacific Northwest.
NEW: CARROT MINI SHEET CAKE
For me, this one couldn’t beat the lemon. It’s got nice bits of carrot, but could use more spice. For some reason, the cream cheese frosting seems sweeter than on the lemon, but maybe it’s just missing that zing from the lemon. More views are on our WeTriedTraderJoe’s IG.
NEW: APRICOT CARDAMOM SPREAD
Not to be confused with the Green Tea with Yuzu spread that has verrrrrrry similar packaging. I’m betting this spread would be good on TJ’s crescent rolls. Spread it on, roll ’em up, bake…and maybe add more when they’re out of oven.
RETURNING: GUAVA ULTRA MOISTURIZING HAND CREAM
I was waiting for this one! It’s my favorite of the full size TJ’s hand creams. They keep coming out with good scents in the holiday advent calendar and then they never make it to the big time.
NEW: MISO CRUNCH CHOPPED SALAD KIT
As reported on the Inside Trader Joe’s podcast, TJ’s new summer chopped salad kit is the Miso Crunch. I thought it was supposed to replace the Peanut and Crispy Noodle kit as they cycle in new flavors, but my store had both.
NEW: SLICED BLACK TRUFFLE MONTEREY JACK CHEESE
I’m not a TJ’s Black Truffle girlie, so this one didn’t come home with me.
RETURNING: BEEMSTER’S HATCH CHILE GOUDA
Hatch Chile season is right around the corner. In the meantime, you can grab Beemster’s Hatch Chile Gouda (or even TJ’s Unexpected Cheddar Spread with Hatch chiles).
P.S. On lighter weeks, I still typically post new stuff on our WeTriedTraderJoe’s IG, so you can always follow there.
