What a week for new and returning items at Trader Joe’s! The pickle party is on, we’ve got new pasta and a don’t miss dessert in the freezer section. Let’s look at what we spotted in the PNW this week.
East Coasters got Gluten Free pizza dough for a short time a couple of years ago. We never saw it in the PNW. But it’s here now. $3.99 per ball. The dough base includes tapioca starch, rice flour, millet flour and tapioca flour. I’m missing one starch from the list, it might be potato. Check in store.
Trader Joe’s Chickpea Fusilli has just 3 ingredients: chickpeas, tapioca flour and guar gum.
I’m more of a make your dressing gal, but if you’re on the lookout for a French vinaigrette, TJ’s has you covered. It’s just canola oil, red wine vinegar, olive oil, mustard, shallots, sea salt, and natural flavor.
This month’s Spotlight Cheese is Mobay. A goat and sheep’s milk cheese separated by a layer of ash.
The summer pickle party is getting started with the first few pickle products hitting shelves. No chips yet at my store. But Seasoning in a Pickle is back, as is the Dill Pickle Mustard.
Late spring/early summer kringle is in — raspberry.
It’s gonna be ice cream weather this week in our neck of the woods, if it is in yours too, grab a box of sugar cones.
The best thing to hit Trader Joe’s freezer section in awhile: Japanese SoufflĂ© Cheesecakes. You can check out my full review here. Just thaw and eat.
