It’s been a light week for what’s new and returning at Trader Joe’s. Let’s take a look at what landed in stores this week. As spotted in the PNW.
The dried pasta section at my store has been pretty slim pickins for the last few weeks. A supply issue/delay I’m sure, so I was happy to see penne rigate and orzo restocked under the Santa Lucia brand. And, if it’s as hard to find large elbow mac as it is here, pick up a bag of the chifferini.
Fans of the garlic bread cheese – that’s garlic (pause) bread cheese, not garlic bread (pause) cheese – will be happy it’s back on shelves. Can the pizza one be far behind?
Not everybody was a huge fan of the shelf stable Lemon Pesto on the first go-round, but it’s back. Here’s my review from last year. Quick, and good in a pinch, if you don’t want to make your own lemony pasta sauce. There are worse choices at TJ’s.
With Mother’s Day around the corner, Trader Joe’s has a new 8-piece Belgian Truffle box. Flavors include: Cappuccino Milk, Crunch Caracol Dark, White Hazelnut Flower Blanc, Corazon Negra Dark, Cocoa Bean Lai, Caramel Eclipse Milk, Bloc GIanduja, and Caracol Milk
If you’re thinking about doing tea time to celebrate Bridgerton Season 3, premiering May 16 on Netflix, Trader Joe’s and World Market are good sources for doing it on the cheap.
