If you’ve been a Trader Joe’s shopper for awhile, you know the store seasonally features a flavor across a bunch of products. We’re deep in lemon season at the moment. The lemon mini sheet cake was an early season entrant and several products have returned over the last month. Let’s look at the other lemon products TJ’s has on shelves now.
First up: Lemon Flower Cookies. Similar to the Raspberry Stars, these lemon shortbreads have a lemon jam center.
If you’re not a fan of the lemon mini sheet cake, TJ’s Lemon Zest Madeleines are a good alternative. You still get that lemon cake experience without the frosting. They can be a little hit or miss on whether they’re on the dry side, so be sure to check the date stickers when you get them. Still, they’re one of my faves.
The Ricotta and Lemon Zest Ravioli are another one of my faves. I don’t get TJ’s ravioli all that often, but when I do, it’s during lemon season. They’re great with mint and peas, or just dusted with some freshly grated parm.
Another returning item: Meyer Lemon Cake Mix. If the Vanilla cake mix doesn’t come back soon, I’ll be using the Meyer Lemon for a little Bridgerton Season 3 tea time celebration when the show comes back May 16.
And finally Sicilian Lemon Juice. I don’t usually go for the bottled stuff, I just buy lemons. But I did grab this one just to try it. No additives, just lemon juice, and Sicilian lemons should have a different flavor that the Eurekas we get here, so we’ll see.
