With Spring just arrived and Easter right around the corner, Trader Joe’s new products are multiplying like bunnies. This week’s roundup of what’s new (and returning) is kind of massive. New items mentioned on the last episode of Inside Trader Joe’s are in, as are some brand new surprises! Let’s get to it.
As mentioned on Inside Trader Joe’s podcast, this Salted Caramel Swirl Danish is hitting stores now. But, like so many items, it’s got palm kernel oil on the ingredient list (sigh). So I left it behind.
Also mentioned on Inside Trader Joe’s, the Puppet orange (skin contact) wine and a chillable red.
Caramel is having a bit of a moment at TJ’s right now. Along with the Salted Caramel Swirl Danish, we’ve got Brown Butter Salted Caramel Mini Biscotti. I might grab these next trip. Too many sweets in the house right now…
…like a pint of Trader Joe’s Dulce de Leche ice cream. It’s still pretty soft after 48 hours in my freezer, so it didn’t scoop as nicely as some other TJ’s ice cream. But I think they got sweetness balanced just right in this one. More to come.
Here’s a great one for Easter Brunch, or any old weekend, period. Trader Joe’s READY-TO-BAKE Mini Croissant Swirls with Chocolate Chips. If you missed it, check out my review here.
Trader Joe’s Candle Fans are getting a new Spring Candle Trio with Raspberry and Roses, Rhubarb and Bamboo, and Lemon Verbena in the mix. The individual Grapefruit candle was also back at my local TJ’s.
Insulated Bag collectors should be on the lookout for the periwinkle version.
RETURNING:
Springle Jangle is back. Yep, that’s it.
Trader Joe’s version of Funfetti got a packaging makeover to better match the ice cream pint design. I still have a box from last year I haven’t made yet. LOL.
The spring version of the Belgian Cookie Assortment includes Lemon Waffle Cookies, Almond Butter Thins, and Almond Butter Thins with Strawberry Flavored Bits.
Fans of Trader Joe’s Portuguese Custard Tarts (Pasteis de Nata) will be glad to know they’re back in the freezer section.
Cookies and Creme Pretzel Thins join the Ginger version currently on shelves.
And finally, the cookies with the longest name…These Sprinkles Walk Into a Sandwich Cookie.
