In the aftermath of Valentine’s Day only a few new items seemed to roll in last week, but I stopped in after a dentist appointment today and there were plenty of new and returning items to chuck into my basket. As spotted in the Pacific Northwest.
NEW:
I’ve got the oven preheating for Trader Joe’s Spicy Meat Pizza. It clocks in at 310 calories for a 1/4 of a pizza serving. I’m gonna be tempted to put something green on here. Review to come.
It was only a matter of time until Trader Joe’s made their own version of chocolate filled cone tips. I’ve seen different brands, like Just the Fun Part, at Home Goods and other places. I did buy a box, but I’m less and less thrilled at how much TJ’s is using palm oil and coconut oil in its products. I don’t know if that’s new or if I’ve just noticed it more recently.
Uncured pepperoni joins Trader Joe’s vegan version. My TJ’s have carried Volpi pepperoni for years, so it’ll be interesting if this is a straight up replacement. I noticed they got rid of Applegate hot dogs in favor of their own brand, assumably because of the price point. I think the Applegate are better. But I also don’t want to pay $7.99 for a pack of hot dogs.
Cream yogurts! You can see the original 6 packs of 2 flavors just beneath them, but TJ’s is bringing us the four flavors as single serves: Blueberries & Cream, Raspberries & Cream, Vanilla & Cream and Meyer Lemon & Cream.
RETURNING:
I forgot to check and see if there’s palm oil in the mix along with the sour cream on the Glazed Sour Cream donuts.
I reviewed the French Chocolate Crepe Wafer Cookies last year, but as I recall, they’re just a really good way to get more chocolate in your head hole.
Black Garlic Cream Cheese was back, next to the Hot Cocoa version.
And the St. Patrick’s Day products are juuuust starting to roll in. Irish Porter Cheddar spotted.
