I won’t lie, eating Trader Joe’s Jalapeño Seasoned Corn & Rice Puffs, is a little bit like eating styrofoam peanuts. But in a good way? They’ve got some extra crunchiness from the corn. And the good news is they don’t stick in your teeth. And hey, they’re vegan and gluten-free!
They’ve got a decent kick that builds up the more you eat. They’re kind of weird, but I think I like them. Not sure if you could use them as breading…they’re pretty light and crumbly when you bash them up. I know some peeps are missing those rice crumbs TJ’s used to have.
Now as we slide into September, fall items are starting to arrive in stores. But I’m just not fully signed on for maple and pumpkin yet. I did pick up the Spicy Pumpkin Curry simmer sauce and if you roll through Instagram, lots of your fall favorites are starting to hit shelves.
