>LA Story Part 3: Sunday

>Because we went to see the 40-year old Virgin after dinner at Granita, we didn’t get home til well past my bedtime. As a result, Sunday got off to a slow start — we didn’t even get around to our first meal of the day until around 11:30 a.m. The good and the bad news was I had a bagel joint in mind — the New York Bagel Company in Brentwood. I should have known, it being in Brentwood, that the place would have been a haven for a late brunch. The wait was about 20 minutes, so we opted to get our bagel to go and head down to Coffee Bean for a coffee/tea.

Not a bad bagel, I have to say — had an everything toasted with cream cheese and tomato. Having worked in a bagel shop in college, I know everyone is trained to put half an inch of cream cheese on the thing — next time I’m ordering it with a schmear — no really, I mean just a schmear, a scrape — not enough to lay bricks.
