Favor box – actual size
As much as people want to hate Martha Stewart, you have to admit some of her product lines deliver some cute stuff — like these tissue paper flower boxes in her Martha Stewart Crafts line. When we first started planning for Erin’s shower, I stumbled on these while surfing online. So look at the photo below from the website. Doesn’t that look like the flower on top is about 1 in. x 1 in.? Whose little fingers would be able to fold a flower that size without making a complete mash of the tissue paper?! So I went to Michaels to see how difficult it would actually be to put these together. And there was a box that looked like it had been opened and then returned…not a good sign. But, I decided to press and on just order them online (just to make sure nothing was missing).

So we filled the boxes with custom M&Ms. My one beef was that this particular bag got a bit more jostled around than the others, so some of the lettering was flaking off. Other bags faired much better. You can also just get bags of colored M&Ms at party stores or the M&Ms store in Vegas, but the custom printing was just too cute for the shower. Be on the lookout for coupons in the Sunday paper and you can get an extra bag for free.
